Workout of the Week



Every week Octane Fitness employees can participate in team CROSS CiRCUIT workouts held in our showroom. See what this week’s team workout was and download a copy for yourself!

A motivational note from Octane Fitness team member and certified group fitness leader, Kelly:

Thanksgiving is here, and once again you will be tempted with all that holiday food. Do you plan on eating some Pecan Pie? Or how about some candied sweet potatoes? It’s all just too scrumptious to resist! And, yes, I am guilty just as you all are. However, one day swaying from your good eating habits will not hurt you. It is OK, so stop feeling that guilt. I encourage you to enjoy your day. Take time to be with family and friends, reflect on all that you have to be thankful for and enjoy some good fix ‘ins! Know also that your day is not totally lost. I suggest you salvage it by taking a moment to break away from all the festivities and go for a walk. Walking will help with your digestion, jump start your metabolism and also make you feel a little better after overeating (because you know you will!). Even better – take the entire family out with you on your stroll! More quality time to spend with your loved ones and everyone will feel so much better!

To prepare for all that Thanksgiving eating, this weeks workout is a bit more intense. In the next day or two, get on your home elliptical and get your workout in before turkey time.

Exercise Tips
Helpful descriptions of some of the more difficult or lesser-known exercises listed above.

  • Pliat Squat with Isometric Chest Press – Get into a wide stance with feet pointing outward and lower into deep squat. Hold this position. Then, with hands starting at chest level, press hands together as hard as you can. Hold for duration of circuit.
