After a long day of work, the last thing most people want to do is workout. Even on the easiest days, finding the motivation for working out after work is hard. These tips to get you from the office to the gym.

 

 

We love sharing great blog posts that we come across online and as soon as we saw this, we knew it had to be shared! Courtesy of our friends at US Fitness Products out of South Carolina, . Earlier this week they shared a post with four great tips for working out after work.

Their tips for working out after work were:

  1. Head directly to the gym – Do not pass “Go” or stop for any reason. Even the quickest errand can get you off track enough to completely derail or workout intentions.
  2. Carry an “everything” gym bag – It doesn’t have to have everything, but a well prepared gym back will set you up for after-work success. Include essentials like water bottle and head phones and toss in a healthy snack to tide you over until your post workout meal.
  3. Re-energize and re-hydrate – Give yourself a boost of energy with a healthy snack about 30 minutes before the end of your work day. If you feel energized leaving work you’re more likely to make it to the gym. Drinking 16-20 ounces of water with your snack will help with your energy boost and keep you going during the first part of your workout.
  4. Partner up – You’ve heard it before but it’s worth saying again– get a workout buddy! Being accountable to someone else will give you the extra push to get to the gym. Plus, working out after work will be more enjoyable with someone by your side.
