CROSS CiRCUIT+

Unique to Octane Fitness, CROSS CiRCUIT+ maximizes workout efficiency and effectiveness by combining cardio intervals on the machine with resistance training sessions off the machine using body weight, PowerBlocks, dumbbells, Octane’s Powerbands, stability balls and more.

The incredibly versatile CROSS CiRCUIT+ can be performed on Octane home ellipticals, and is available on health club models. It is ideal for clients seeking to lose weight, those who are new to weight training or those short on time.

Using CROSS CiRCUIT Pro, you can lead clients through intense cardio and strength sessions with customized exercises and intervals that can vary as necessary to help meet individual goals.

CROSS CiRCUIT will soon be a favorite of your clients. Here's why:

 

  • You set the cardio time, strength time and resistance level. Clients warm-up for 3 minutes, and complete their first cardio interval; then either you or the machine prompt them to perform strength exercises off the machine.
  • You lead clients through the strength sessions by selecting the exercises, the order and number of repetitions – the strength session is from 30 seconds-3 minutes, according to your preference.
  • Typical exercises include squats, lunges, push-ups, planks and more.
  • Clients using a home machine can select from Lower Body Blast, Upper Body Blast, Total Body Blast and Core Focus – performing exercises according to your prescription or selecting options from Octane’s strength interval guide or DVD. On home machines, exercisers are instructed to perform 8-12 reps.
  • Home exercisers can easily anchor Octane’s Powerbands to the machine; and health club members can utilize PowerBlock dumbbells, with resistance from 4 to 50 pounds.
  • After the strength interval, exercisers are prompted by you or the machine to hop on the elliptical for the next cardio period.
  • Cardio and strength intervals repeat for the duration of the workout session; the cardio resistance level can be changed at any time for more or less challenge.
