Octane Named Best Supplier and Top-Selling Elliptical By Specialty Fitness Retailers

Octane Fitness, a leading brand of multiple award-winning, premium elliptical cross trainers, was named the best supplier in the fitness industry and the top-selling brand of elliptical cross trainers by specialty fitness retailers in the fifth annual Specialty News® (SNEWS) 2007 Fitness Retailer Survey. This is the company’s third consecutive year winning leading elliptical and the first as best supplier.

Regarding the best supplier award, surveyors noted, “Octane consistently earned mentions for great sales training, high-quality customer service and being just plain easy to deal with. Octane must be doing something right even as it has grown so strongly in the last couple of years.”
As for the particularly competitive elliptical trainer category, Octane completely dominated this year, with more than double the votes of any other retailer among the 28 listed by respondents (22.6% versus the second-place winner at 13.3%).
Surveyors described this category this way: “The big story here, just as last year, is Octane’s march to basically rule the elliptical category. The-little-company-that-could has made big jumps every year of our five surveys. Not willing to stop there, however, Octane increased the votes it earned for top-selling by almost 50 percent! What’s next? Octane for president?”
